Job summary

DOBCEL invites applications for a role supporting St Paul’s Primary with delivering engaging learning, using plans from classroom teachers, and creating safe, inclusive classrooms. The successful applicant will maintain routines, support diverse learners, and collaborate with staff to foster a positive learning culture aligned with Catholic values.

Applicants should have VIT registration and Mandatory Reporting training, with First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration.
• Mandatory Reporting training.
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications (desirable).
• Demonstrated commitment to Child Safe Standards and the safeguarding of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic identity and values of St Paul’s Primary.
• Deliver engaging learning using plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Create safe, positive and inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behaviour expectations.
• Support students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs.
• Work collaboratively with Learning Support Officers and school staff.
• Communicate professionally and provide clear feedback to classroom teachers.
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and a strong commitment to child safety.
