Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Orange, NSW, is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on embedding Catholic teachings in daily teaching, fostering a nurturing classroom, and partnering with families and the broader community.

The successful candidate will meet NESA and Diocesan requirements, collaborate with the Leadership Team on teaching priorities, and contribute to professional learning within the school community.

Qualifications

• Ensuring NESA and Diocesan requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team to ensure high quality learning and teaching.
• Identify professional learning needs and deliver staff development.
• Engage with Professional Learning Communities program and PLC teams.
• Demonstrate understanding of the Church’s teachings and the Catholic teacher’s role.

Responsibilities

• Support and enrich the sacramental, liturgical, and prayer life of the school.
• Foster relationships to support students' spiritual, moral, and academic development.
• Create a learner-centred, inclusive classroom environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Use student data to identify learning barriers and tailor supports.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing faith and professional formation.
• Build partnerships with parents and the wider community.
