Job summary

Reddam House North Shore is seeking a Primary Computer Studies Teacher to deliver a contemporary Digital Technology and Computer Studies program for Kindergarten to Year 6, aligned with NSW curriculum and the school’s philosophy.

You will teach coding, computational thinking, AI, digital citizenship and emerging technologies, while mentoring colleagues and collaborating with IT staff to integrate technology across the primary school.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification and relevant tertiary studies in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, STEM or a related discipline.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and accreditation.
• Willingness to participate in school duties and co-curricular activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a Digital Technology and Computer Studies curriculum for K-6 aligned to NSW requirements.
• Teach coding, computational thinking, digital literacy, cyber safety and digital citizenship.
• Design, implement and review assessment and reporting practices to monitor student progress.
• Lead the primary school's AI and Digital Learning initiatives and oversee safe, ethical use of emerging tech.
• Provide curriculum leadership, mentoring and professional learning for staff.
• Collaborate with school leaders, teachers and IT teams to plan and evaluate digital learning initiatives.
• Oversee selection and management of digital resources and software subscriptions.
• Enrich the wider school community through coding clubs, robotics and tech events.
