Job summary

Catholic Education Office Diocese of Bathurst – Wellington NSW invites applications for a Primary Classroom Teacher at St Mary's CS, Wellington. This permanent full-time role supports K-10 with a focus on inclusive teaching, data-informed practice, and faith-based education in a supportive community.

You will contribute to curriculum development, assess student progress, engage in professional learning, and collaborate with leadership, staff, and families to nurture student growth and well-being

Qualifications

• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
• Capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.
• Demonstrate a commitment to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice in a professional learning team.
• The desire to engage with and contribute to a Catholic learning organisation
• The ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect, patience and understanding
• Up to date knowledge of NESA and Australian Curriculum requirements for all stages in your KLA area

Responsibilities

• Create a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
• Use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
• Analyse student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.
• Provide student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities.
