Job summary

Westmead Medical Centre in Sydney’s NSW is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on patient assessment, care coordination with general practitioners, and delivery of safe, patient-centred healthcare.

The successful candidate will provide nursing care, administer vaccines, manage wounds, support chronic disease management and preventive healthcare, while maintaining confidential records and promoting infection control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent recognised nursing qualification.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Minimum of three years of post-qualification nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions, obtain medical histories, measure vital signs and identify concerns requiring medical review.
• Assist general practitioners during consultations, examinations and minor clinical procedures.
• Administer vaccinations and maintain immunisation records.
• Provide wound care, change dressings and assist with post-surgical care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope and authorisations.
• Support chronic disease management including diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular conditions.
