Job summary

Zurich Insurance Australia is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join a cross-functional squad collaborating with pricing, product, sales, underwriting, finance and actuarial teams. Reporting to the Senior Pricing Actuary, you will leverage data and actuarial insights to support sound commercial decisions, delivering competitive and sustainable pricing and long-term value for customers and the business.

Qualifications

• Progress towards Actuarial Fellowship.
• Understanding of insurance products and contracts.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to forecast trends from performance indicators.
• Clear written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Business acumen and familiarity with actuarial modelling software such as Prophet.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform actuarial analyses to support management reporting and business decisions.
• Analyse portfolio experience, profitability, capital availability and solvency projections.
• Support cash flow model development and help maintain the quality of model outputs.
• Calculate premiums for new and existing products using pricing methodologies.
• Test and review system changes and other deliverables that support squad outcomes.
• Monitor business volumes, mix, experience trends and expenses, comparing actual results with expectations.
