Job summary

Cabramatta West Public School is seeking a School Learning Support Officer to support students with identified learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under supervision. The role includes student welfare, health and wellbeing activities, with potential duties in preschool streams, vision/hearing support, and bilingual contexts.

Applicants must be working towards or hold ACECQA-certified qualifications and complete mandatory training.

Qualifications

On appointment must be working towards or hold an ACECQA approved Certificate III in Children’s Services or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Working with Children Check Clearance.
Completion of mandatory Department of Education training and willingness to undertake first aid training.
Administration of Medications – training provided based on student needs.
Health support training provided based on student needs (subject to transition provisions).

Responsibilities

Support students with identified learning needs under the guidance of a teacher.
Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
Assist in streams/settings such as preschool, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual.
Demonstrate suitability and ongoing compliance with NSW child safety policies.
