Job summary

Nangamay Public School in the Sydney region is seeking a School Learning Support Officer to join on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will work under the direction of a teacher to support students with diverse learning needs and help achieve educational outcomes.

The role involves welfare, health and wellbeing activities and may include support for pre-school, vision, hearing and bilingual learners, contributing to a welcoming, inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance.
• Mandatory training required by the Department of Education and willingness to undertake first aid training.
• Administration of Medications – training provided based on student needs.
• Health support training provided based on student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs under the direction of a teacher.
• Support student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Assist in streams/settings including pre-school, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual.
