The Department for Education, South Australia seeks a Director to provide governance, leadership and effective management of a school site. The role advances strategic objectives and strengthens outcomes in wellbeing, equity and excellence, learner engagement and agency.

The Director will lead improvement through people and systems levers, engage with the Governing Council and work with education and community partners to deliver high-quality public education.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold full teachers’ registration with the SA Teachers Registration Board (TRB) and meet Department for Education minimum employment requirements.
• Approved early childhood teaching qualification is required.
• RRHAN-EC training and a current first aid certificate are expected.
• DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
• An active online Employable Teacher Register (ETR) entry is needed.
• Australian residency or current work permit is necessary.

Responsabilités

• Provide governance, leadership and effective management of the school site.
• Lead on Wellbeing, Equity and Excellence, Effective Learners, and Learner Agency outcomes.
• Direct improvement through people and system levers; engage with the Governing Council.
• Participate in bi-annual Performance and Development processes with Education Director.
• Collaborate with Department for Child Protection, Health professionals, families and community groups to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Ensure safety and appropriate conduct of all persons on site, including volunteers and visitors.
