Job summary

The University of Sydney's Sydney Imaging Core Research Facility is seeking a Technical Officer (Preclinical Imaging) to provide technical and operational support for preclinical imaging research. You will work with researchers, students and staff to deliver high-quality imaging services.

You will provide training for users, operate imaging systems (PET, MRI, Ultrasound, Optical Imaging, microCT, DXA, EchoMRI), assist with imaging studies, data analysis and reporting, support animal handling,

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in biomedical science or related field.
Experience in a research, laboratory or imaging environment.
Knowledge of preclinical imaging modalities (PET/MRI/Ultrasound/Optical) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and training for users of preclinical imaging facilities.
Operate and support imaging systems including PET, MRI, Ultrasound, Optical Imaging, microCT, DXA and EchoMRI.
Assist with imaging studies, data analysis and reporting.
Support animal handling and in vivo procedures in accordance with approved protocols.
Maintain imaging equipment, laboratory resources and QA processes.
Ensure compliance with WHS, animal welfare and University policies.
