Job summary

Atelier Alterations in Melbourne’s CBD is seeking a skilled Tailor for a casual, on-site role. You will perform a wide range of garment alterations with precision, using both industrial and standard sewing machines, and help maintain a clean, organised workspace to deliver top-quality results.

With at least 2 years’ experience as a Tailor or Dressmaker and strong workmanship, you’ll handle men’s and women’s garments, support the team, and contribute to our reputation for excellent service in a

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Tailor or Dressmaker.
• Strong technical skills in garment alterations and construction.
• Experience working with men's suiting (highly regarded).
• Ability to work across different garment types (men's, women's, etc.)
• High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performing a wide range of alterations, including hemming, taking in/letting out, shortening/lengthening, and more
• Working with precision to achieve the best possible fit and finish
