Job summary

RCT – Powered by Epiroc in Kewdale, WA, is seeking a hands-on Product Technician for our Manufacturing team. You will assemble electronic products, wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies to high quality and safety standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will read work orders and drawings, use hand and power tools, and contribute to life-changing mining technology. This role requires hands-on capability and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing assembly.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Soldering and wiring experience (highly regarded).
• Ability to read assembly drawings or work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong focus on workplace safety.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, products, and sub-assemblies to specification.
• Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to crimp, solder, rivet, bolt, screw, and secure components.
• Assemble and install electronic components, wiring, connectors, and harnesses.
• Manufacture wiring looms and cable harnesses, including terminating connectors.
• Complete assembly processes including bonding, encapsulating, curing, cleaning, and finishing.
• Install completed assemblies into enclosures and fit associated hardware.
• Perform quality checks and adjustments to meet electrical and dimensional requirements.
• Safely perform manual handling and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
• Support the Production team with other duties as required.
