Job summary

Plastic Solutions Australia Pty Ltd in Scoresby, VIC is seeking a reliable Bar Processing Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will bend, cut and prepare steel bars, operate bandsaws and bending machines, and perform quality checks to meet daily orders.

The role requires previous manufacturing experience, strong safety focus and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy workshop environment. Training and development opportunities are provided to support ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Experience operating machinery (bandsaw, bending equipment preferred).
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely bending, cutting and preparing steel bar to meet daily production requirements and customer orders.
• Operate machinery including bandsaws and bending machines.
• Conduct first-off inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment.
• Identify and report hazards, risks, or safety concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the team and communicate with the Leading Hand regarding production and material needs.
• Record any machine or production issues that may impact output.
