Job summary

LeBros & Co is seeking an experienced Precision Ag Pilot Supervisor to lead our national team delivering agricultural drone operations across WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD. This hands-on supervisory role requires coordinating a regionally based crew while also fielding flights when needed.

A CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) is essential; a 25kg RPA CASA licence is preferred. Expect travel across regional Australia and a permanent, full-time position commencing October 2026.

Job description

LeBros & Co is looking for an experienced Precision Ag Pilot Supervisor to help lead our national team delivering agricultural drone operations across WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD.

Working closely with InFarm and its clients, you’ll support the delivery of some of Australia’s latest precision agriculture technology, including AI-powered weed detection, targeted spraying and agricultural R&D.

This is a hands-on supervisory role. You’ll support and coordinate a team of regionally based Precision Ag Pilots while also getting into the field when required.

A current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) is required for this position.

You’ll oversee the safe, consistent and efficient delivery of InFarm’s field operations, including:

• Coordinating and supporting Precision Ag Pilots across multiple regions
• Planning workloads, flight programs and grower jobs
• Supporting pilots with flight planning, site assessments and operational decisions
• Ensuring drone operations meet CASA, company and client safety requirements
• Monitoring the quality of imagery and field data captured by pilots
• Conducting QA checks and troubleshooting capture or equipment issues
• Training, mentoring and providing practical support to field pilots
• Flying agricultural drone missions when required
• Supporting the processing and delivery of weed prescription maps
• Assisting pilots with importing and testing prescription files on growers’ spray rigs
• Troubleshooting drones, cameras, laptops, software and field equipment
• Liaising directly with growers, contractors, agronomists and landholders
• Supporting incident reporting, operational documentation and continuous improvement
• Helping ensure jobs are completed accurately and within required turnaround times

About the role

Location: This is a remote regionally based position, with operations across WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD. We will consider candidates from any Australian location. But you will need to travel when required and you must be comfortable managing pilots remotely.

Employment: Permanent, full time, commencing October 2026

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience, $80k-$100k plus superannuation and performance incentives.

Travel: Regular regional travel, including overnight stays and interstate travel.

Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible Time Off In Lieu arrangements

We supply the drone, camera payload, configured laptop and required field equipment — and we keep it current.

You’ll be working with the latest technology from InFarm and its global technology partners while helping our field team deliver consistently high-quality results across Australia.

Who we’re looking for

This role will suit someone who is experienced managing drone flight operations, safety-focused, technically capable, practical and confident leading people in the field.

You need to be comfortable making decisions independently, managing changing priorities and supporting pilots operating remotely across regional Australia.

Just as importantly, you need to understand agriculture.

This is not purely a drone operations role. You’ll be working directly with growers and agricultural businesses, so an understanding of farming systems, paddock operations and the realities of working on-farm is highly valued.

You will need:

• A current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) (essential)
• A 25kg RPA CASA licence (preferred)
• Experience managing people
• Experience conducting commercial drone operations
• Experience working in agriculture or agricultural field operations
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor or support field-based staff
• Strong knowledge of drone safety, risk assessment and operational procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality
• Confidence troubleshooting drones, cameras, computers and digital systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
• The flexibility to respond quickly to grower jobs during peak agricultural periods
• The ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout regional Australia

Experience in broadacre agriculture, precision farming, remote sensing, geospatial data capture, tractors, spray systems, prescription mapping or regional field operations will be highly regarded.

Experience operating DJI enterprise platforms will also be an advantage.
