Job summary

Only Sponsorships seeks a Precast Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities in the precast yard, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards and delivery schedules.

You will collaborate with the Precast Superintendent, engineers, QA teams, planners and logistics personnel to drive operational performance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supervisory role within precast concrete production or heavy manufacturing.
  • Understanding of precast manufacturing methodologies and production sequencing.
  • Experience coordinating large work crews and multiple production activities.
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and safe work practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Trade qualification or construction-related background is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily precast production activities across mould preparation, reinforcement installation, concrete pours, curing, stripping and finishing works
  • Coordinate and manage production crews, subcontractors and plant operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Assist the Precast Superintendent in delivering daily and weekly production programmes
  • Monitor productivity, production outputs and labour allocation to meet programme milestones
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through leadership, toolbox talks and site engagement
  • Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks and operational challenges
  • Coordinate material, equipment and labour requirements to maintain workflow continuity
  • Monitor concrete pours, curing processes and handling procedures to ensure product integrity and quality
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports and shift updates
  • Support training, mentoring and development of production personnel
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality and cost performance

Overview

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia’s biggest road infrastructure project: the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance. The alliance will deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway. The T2D project includes two tunnels (Southern and Northern) connected by an open motorway, with a combined distance of 10.5 km. The project comprises tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction, services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed.

Role

As the Precast Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily production activities across the precast yard and ensure works are completed in line with project specifications, quality standards and delivery schedules. You will work with the Precast Superintendent, Engineers, QA teams, planners and logistics personnel to drive operational performance and continuous improvement. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused leader who can manage a diverse workforce, coordinate multiple work fronts and maintain production momentum in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and planning capability
  • Trade qualification or construction-related background highly regarded
