Job summary

Silvercrete Precast seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team in a South Australian precast facility. You will oversee maintenance operations, drive preventive programs, and manage welding, fabrication, and fitting work to meet quality and safety standards.

You will guide change management initiatives, troubleshoot mechanical components, and ensure compliance with WHS regulations while mentoring staff and delivering continuous improvement across maintenance

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
• Strong background in mechanical fitting, welding, and fabrication.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Experience in change management and process improvement.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, quality and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee all welding, fabrication, and fitting work to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Manage change processes to enhance operational efficiency and equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and structural components.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to support maintenance activities.
• Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Promoting and educating staff of company safety procedures to ensure legislative compliance with WHS regulations and conducting team toolbox meetings.
