Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking experienced Precast Labourers for a role in Ormeau, Australia. Starts at 6:30am, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour days on-site in a busy precast facility.

You will assist with manufacturing precast concrete products—panels, arches, retaining wall components—and support mould setup, reo placement, pours, finishing, and curing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Physically fit for labour-intensive precast work.
• Willingness to learn and follow WHS and QA procedures.
• Good attitude and eye for detail in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean and prepare moulds for precast panels and components.
• Assist with reo placement, steel fixing, inserts and formwork preparation.
• Assist with concrete pours, vibration, finishing, curing and stripping.
• Patch, repair, and finish precast products to specification.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow WHS, QA and production procedures.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading civil and geotechnical engineering firm specialising in soil-structure interaction, reinforced backfill applications and innovative infrastructure solutions. With decades of global experience and a long-standing presence in Australia and New Zealand, the business designs and supplies specialised engineering solutions across four key areas: retaining structures, structures that cross obstacles, geohazard protection and soil reinforcement. Its expertise encompasses reinforced soil structures, precast concrete solutions, geosynthetics, rockfall and debris-flow protection, slope stabilisation and erosion control.

What You Will Be Doing:

Our client is seeking experienced Precast Labourers to join their team in Ormeau. Successful applicants will be required to work Monday Friday, starting at 6:30am working 8hr days.

Assisting with manufacturing precast concrete products, including panels, arches, retaining wall components and related concrete structures. Duties will include:

• Set up, clean and prepare moulds
• Assist with reo placement, steel fixing, inserts and formwork preparation
• Assist with concrete pours, vibration, finishing, curing and stripping
• Patch, repair, clean and prepare finished precast products
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Maintain clean, safe yard and production areas
• Follow WHS, QA and production procedures

What You Will Need:

• Drivers licence & reliable transport
• Previous precast factory experience highly regarded
• Physically fit this is labour-intensive work
• Good attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
