Pickerings Auto Group in Townsville, QLD, seeks a hands-on Pre-Delivery Operations Service Advisor Manager to lead the pre-delivery team and ensure efficient vehicle preparation for monthly sales. The role involves coordinating inspections, detailing, accessory installation and final QC to meet standards.

You will work with Sales, Service, Parts and Accessories to streamline delivery, while coaching staff, ensuring safety, and driving productivity in a newly built Pre-Delivery Centre.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a pre-delivery or service-advisor team in automotive.
• Ability to coordinate vehicle preparation from inspection to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Pre-Delivery Operations team, including technicians and detailers.
• Coordinate the efficient flow of vehicles through Pre-Delivery, ensuring deadlines and delivery requirements are met.
• Oversee vehicle inspections, PDI, detailing, accessory installation and final quality checks.
• Ensure all vehicles are completed to manufacturer, dealership and customer standards.
• Monitor daily workflow, workloads and productivity, reallocating resources as required.
• Train, coach and develop team members to maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
• Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts and Accessories teams to coordinate vehicle preparation and delivery.
• Ensure all required repairs, accessories, documentation and customer requests are completed prior to delivery.
• Conduct final quality-control checks and address any issues before vehicles are released to customers.
• Manage customer and Sales Department requests professionally, particularly last-minute delivery requirements.
• Maintain compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, manufacturer procedures and dealership policies.
• Monitor department performance, productivity, costs and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce delays and enhance the customer delivery experience.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting and documentation relating to Pre-Delivery operations.
