Pre-Delivery Accessory Fitter/Technician

Nowra Toyota is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Delivery Accessory Fitter/Technician to join our team in South Nowra, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards before delivery to customers. As a Pre-Delivery Accessory Fitter, you will be responsible for the professional installation and fitting of various accessories and components to vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to specification and quality standards. This role is essential to our operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the reputation of Nowra Toyota

Key responsibilities

• Install and fit a wide range of vehicle accessories including exterior trim, protective equipment, technological components and interior enhancements
• Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure all accessories are correctly installed and functioning as intended
• Read and interpret technical specifications, diagrams and installation manuals to ensure accurate fitting of components
• Conduct quality checks and testing of fitted accessories to verify compliance with safety and performance standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all fitting work completed on each vehicle
• Identify and report any defects, damage or issues with vehicles or accessories to management
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle completion
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations
• Perform minor adjustments and remedial work as required to rectify any issues identified during quality checks

What we are looking for

• Completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in automotive trades, mechanical work or a related field
• Proven experience as a fitter, technician or in a similar automotive assembly or customisation role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components and fitting techniques relevant to pre-delivery accessory installation
• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and installation manuals
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment commonly used in automotive fitting work
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot fitting issues independently
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• A valid driver's licence is essential
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as automotive electrical or mechanical qualifications would be advantageous
