Job summary

Xpress Health is seeking experienced Practice Nurses (RNs) for casual shifts across Glenorie, North West Sydney, and surrounding areas in NSW. You will provide high-quality nursing care in general practice and primary care settings, working with GPs and a multidisciplinary team to support patients' health and wellbeing.

We offer flexible casual shifts across GP clinics and medical centers with competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum 1 year of Australian nursing experience, preferably in general practice or primary healthcare.
• Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP clinic or medical center is highly desirable.
• Experience in immunizations, wound care, health assessments, and chronic disease management.
• Current National Police Check.
• Up-to-date immunization records and required compliance documentation.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid Australian working rights.
• Must be currently residing in Australia.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Provide wound care, dressings, and minor procedure assistance
• Administer vaccinations and injections in accordance with clinical guidelines and authorizations
• Assist GPs with minor surgical procedures and clinical examinations
• Perform ECGs, health screenings, and other routine clinical procedures
• Support chronic disease management and patient care planning
• Conduct health assessments and preventive healthcare activities
• Provide patient education and health promotion
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Work collaboratively with GPs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

We are seeking experienced and motivated Practice Nurses (RNs) to support our partner healthcare providers with reliable, high-quality, patient-centered care across Glenorie, North West Sydney, and surrounding areas in NSW.

About the Role

As a Practice Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care within general practice and primary healthcare settings, working alongside General Practitioners (GPs) and other healthcare professionals to support patients' health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs


• Provide wound care, dressings, and minor procedure assistance


• Administer vaccinations and injections in accordance with clinical guidelines and authorizations


• Assist GPs with minor surgical procedures and clinical examinations
