Job summary

Corio Medical Centre in Geelong, Victoria is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead daily operations and support a busy clinic with 15 GPs, nurses and reception staff.

You will oversee rostering, patient bookings and front-of-house enquiries while driving service quality, accreditation readiness and business development in collaboration with the Better Medical group.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in a large GP clinic.

• Familiarity with Best Practice, HotDoc and PRODA preferred.

A part ofthe Better Medical group, Corio Medical Centre is an experienced General Practice that prides itself on our quality care and personal approach, with our patient’s health and well-being, as our greatest priority.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to support our large clinic. The clinic is home to 15 GPs and a professional team of Nurses and Receptionists, so time management and the ability to communicate and connect with your team is essential.

Corio Medical Clinic is located in Geelong, Victoria and has provided services to the Greater Geelong community for over 30 years. We are a fully accredited general practice and the experienced and friendly doctors work alongside our nurses and staff, offering a range of services to support our community's healthcare needs.

About the role

Responsibilities include

The Practice Manager is the first point of contact for all clinical and non-clinical staff and is responsible for effective and service-focused daily operations of the clinics.

Leading by example and working on reception as part of the weekly roster, supporting patient bookings, front-of-house enquiries and day-to-day clinic flow

Providing leadership and guidance to clinic support staff including reception, nursing and administration

Supporting and influencing stakeholders, implementing best practice while bringing the team on the journey

Coordinating team members across clinic services and ensuring smooth daily operations

Acting as the escalation point for complex issues, taking a proactive and solutions-focused approach

Managing operational requirements including rostering, resourcing, service delivery, accreditation and business development

Supporting financial and business performance, including budgeting and monitoring clinic outcomes

The Practice Manager will have the benefit of engaging with the wider Better Medical group network of practices, attending key meetings, sharing knowledge, and implementing the business objectives.

About you

This role is ideal for an experienced Practice Manager who leads by example, brings a positive can-do attitude, and is confident in coordinating the day-to-day running of the clinic. Your ability to juggle competing priorities while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, GPs and team members will be key to your success.

Your strengths include multitasking, clear communication, empathy and problem solving. You are reliable, follow through on commitments and are always looking for ways to improve processes and support the team. You believe strongly in the value of primary care and enjoy working collaboratively to build a positive clinic culture focused on teamwork, trust and respect.
