Job summary

Darebin City Council is seeking an experienced Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our People & Culture team. You’ll provide practical OHS advice, support safety initiatives, analyse safety data and lead risk-reduction activities across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with leaders and employees, maintaining a proactive safety culture, delivering training and guiding incident investigations while complying with legislation and council policies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing occupational health, safety and wellbeing advice within a multidisciplinary organisation.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, incident investigations and incident analysis.
• Ability to analyse safety and wellbeing data and deliver meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert safety advice to leaders and employees, interpreting legislation and safety requirements.
• Drive safety improvement and compliance through initiatives, systems and processes.
• Analyse OHS data, prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
• Support incident management, investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead safety initiatives, projects, training and policy development.
• Build partnerships across Council to promote proactive safety practices.
