Job summary

MECCA is seeking a PR & Social Lead to steer the kit: brand’s presence across Australia and New Zealand, shaping PR strategy, social content, and creator partnerships. You will lead media relationships, content calendars, and audience-driven campaigns to drive growth and cultural relevance.

You will build a high-performing team in the MECCA-Maginations Community, champion innovative formats, and collaborate with agencies to scale international creator activity while aligning with MECCA’s

Qualifications

• 5–6 years’ experience across PR and social media, ideally within beauty, fashion, wellness or lifestyle
• Strong expertise across Instagram, TikTok and emerging social platforms with understanding of cultural relevance and performance
• Proven experience building relationships with media, creators, influencers and talent, with strong writing and pitching skills
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset capable of generating ideas and managing multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
• Genuine passion for brand building, beauty and culture with curiosity for new platforms and markets, including AI in marketing

We’re looking for a PR & Social Lead to join our MECCA-Maginations Community Team and help take kit: to its next stage of growth. This is an opportunity to shape how the brand shows up across PR, social, creators and culture – building awareness across Australia and New Zealand while helping grow kit: on the international stage.

The Role You Could Play:

• Lead kit:’s PR activity across AU, NZ markets, building strong media relationships and creating culturally relevant moments that earn attention beyond product
• Own kit:’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, leading content calendars, feed builds, native content creation and optimisation to drive performance and brand growth
• Build and manage creator, influencer and talent relationships across AU and NZ, while partnering with specialist agencies to support international creator activity
• Identify partnerships, talent and creative opportunities that can amplify kit:, driving hype, conversation and brand awareness beyond the walls of MECCA
• Lead performance reporting across PR, social and creator activity, turning insights into clear recommendations and continually testing new formats, hooks and ways to grow the brand

What You Will Bring:

You’re a PR and social media professional who thinks like an entrepreneur – proactive, culturally connected and comfortable building the playbook rather than waiting for one. Ideally, you will bring:

• 5–6 years’ experience across PR and social media, ideally within beauty, fashion, wellness, luxury or lifestyle
• Strong expertise across Instagram, TikTok and emerging social platforms, with a genuine understanding of what makes brands culturally relevant and content perform
• Proven experience building relationships with media, creators, influencers and talent, alongside strong writing, pitching and communication skills
• An innovative, proactive mindset with the ability to generate ideas, manage multiple projects and make confident decisions in a fast-moving environment
• A genuine passion for brand building, beauty and culture, with the curiosity to explore new platforms, markets and technologies – including emerging applications of AI in marketing

This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role where priorities can shift quickly. Some travel, event attendance and out-of-hours or weekend social activity will form part of the role.
