Job summary

MSWA is seeking a Care Support Worker at our Shenton Park location in Western Australia. The role involves providing high-quality, person-centred support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and medication administration in a dedicated residential team.

You will help promote independence and wellbeing, build relationships with residents and families, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a current First Aid and CPR certificate, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and support people living with disability.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain) and NDIS Orientation Certificate (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility assistance and daily living activities
• Assist residents with medication administration and monitoring
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Assist with catheter care, enteral management and basic wound care
• Encourage participation in activities promoting inclusion, independence and goals
• Report and document changes in resident wellbeing and health status
• Maintain accurate records and resident documentation
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues

About The Role

At MSWA, we're passionate about empowering people living with neurological conditions to live life without limits.

As a Care Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents, assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing. Working as part of a dedicated residential team, you'll build genuine relationships with residents and help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

We have multiple Casual and Permanent Part-time 60 hours per fortnight positions available at our newest Shenton Park location.

Available Shifts Include

• Morning shifts: 7:00am - 1:00pm and 7:00am - 3:00pm
• Afternoon shifts: 3:00pm - 9:00pm and 3:00pm - 10:15pm
• Active Overnight shifts: 9:15pm - 7:15am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, hoisting, and other daily living activities
• Assist residents with medication administration and monitoring
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Assist with catheter care, enteral management and basic wound care

• Report and document changes in resident wellbeing and health status
• Maintain accurate records and resident documentation
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
