Fortescue’s Perth office is the work location for this Electrical Engineer role within the Electrical Infrastructure Mine Planning team.

The Electrical Engineer role provides electrical engineering and power system analysis support, focusing on PowerFactory modelling of mine site infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory for power system analysis (≥1 year).
Experience preparing HV submissions (≥1 year).
Understanding of PowerFactory scripting and data exchange.

Responsibilities

Support PowerFactory power system analysis for electrical infrastructure in mine planning and construction.
Develop, maintain and use PowerFactory scripts to import data from mine planning/optimisation systems, including Blueprint.
Export PowerFactory modelling outputs for storage in Snowflake and related systems.
Collect, validate and organise data required for electrical modelling and planning activities.
Support HV submissions and participate in related documentation.
