Job summary

Horizon Power is seeking a Power Systems Planning & Performance Manager to lead the development of planning and reliability frameworks for remote WA communities. Based in Bentley with occasional travel, you will shape generation and distribution strategies and turn data into actionable recommendations.

You will establish planning capabilities, work across Operations, Asset Management, Projects and Finance, and drive alignment across a growing System Planning Centre of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience building planning frameworks and capability from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of power system planning and modelling.
• Proactive and adaptable; able to work through ambiguity and complex problems.
• Strong stakeholder and leadership capability across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of short, medium and long-term plans for remote community generation and distribution systems.
• Establish practical system planning, performance and reliability frameworks, measures and reporting processes.
• Oversee system studies, modelling and forecasting to identify capacity constraints and future energy needs.
• Translate technical analysis into clear recommendations for operations, investment and asset planning.
• Represent Remote Communities within the System Planning Centre of Excellence and build capability across a growing team.
