Job summary

Siemens AG in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to join the Smart Infrastructure team. You will bring deep technical knowledge to our sales organisation and customers, helping them unlock the full potential of Siemens solutions within their networks.

You will deliver power system studies, prepare proposals, and provide expert consulting with a focus on NEM integration and Australian standards.

Qualifications

Passion for power system planning and grid technologies.
Experience in a similar technical or business development role.
Analytical and data management capabilities.
Proficiency with PSS/E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
NEM grid-connection engineering experience with knowledge of NER and Australian standards.
Python programming skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Strategic mindset with commercial awareness.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Deliver power system studies across transmission, distribution, microgrids, and hybrid grids.
Translate analytical findings into clear reports with practical, actionable recommendations.
Advise customers and internal teams on applying Siemens technologies to meet technical and commercial goals.
Develop tailored technical and commercial concepts to support sales pursuits.
Prepare detailed proposals, including cost estimates and technical scopes, and support contract negotiations.
Provide expert consulting to industry partners at both technical and strategic levels.
