Based in Melbourne CBD, you will join the Transmission Operations Planning team and work with regulators and industry groups to shape operational outcomes and best practices for a reliable energy future.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Strong knowledge of power system fundamentals and resilience.
Understanding of energy sector regulation and industry frameworks.
Excellent communication with stakeholders to influence operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

Drive development of power system security and operational resilience frameworks.
Assess emerging network risks and develop mitigation strategies for reliability.
Support secure network operation with renewable and inverter-based generation.
Develop contingency plans, remedial action schemes and system restart strategies.
Evaluate restoration approaches and readiness for major system events.
Analyse future operating scenarios to support energy transition.
Advance forecasting, planning and readiness initiatives.
Collaborate with regulators and industry groups to influence best practices.
