ACEREZ is seeking a Power System Engineer (Power System Studies) to join our Sydney or Melbourne team. You will prepare, analyse and report on power system network studies for integrating wind, solar and BESS into the planned Central-West Orana REZ and the NEM.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assess generator performance, and perform control integration and reports to support reliable grid connections. This role supports NSW Victoria REZ goals and NET Zero targets.
ACEREZ is a consortium, comprised of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy which has been appointed Network Operator by EnergyCo to design, deliver, operate and maintain the transmission line network for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ).
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state's newly legislatedNet Zerotargets.
The Opportunity
The Power System Engineer (Power System Studies) will be responsible for preparing, analysing and reporting on power system network studies for the integration of wind and solar generation and battery projects to the planned renewable energy zone. This role will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of power engineers to integrate a large amount of generation and BESS projects to the planned REZ network and the NEM. This includes generator performance assessment, control integration, network studies and a range of complex power system considerations.
THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED AT EITHER OUR SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE OFFICES.
