Job summary

NES Fircroft, partnered with a global power equipment manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Deputy Site Manager to support the construction and delivery of a major power generation project. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will oversee daily construction activities, field operations, subcontractors and site coordination while stepping into the Site Manager role when required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
• Strong site/construction experience within power generation
• Knowledge of gas/steam turbines, boilers, HRSGs and HV substations
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Strong construction planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Australian-based candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction and field activities
• Manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary site interfaces
• Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules and daily progress reports
• Resolve construction issues and interface conflicts
• Liaise with the Principal, contractors and site teams
• Support and lead site EHS requirements
• Act as Site Manager during periods of absence
