Job summary

Beca is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Power team to lead multi-disciplinary design delivery across major power infrastructure projects in Australia. You will oversee planning, coordination and delivery of design phases, ensuring technically robust outcomes aligned with project objectives.

You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists and clients to define scope, manage interfaces, and drive design assurance across all stages.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in energy projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design processes and quality management.
• Proven ability to coordinate interfaces across disciplines, contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams across concept to construction stages.
• Manage design programs, budgets, risks, interfaces and quality processes.
• Provide technical guidance and drive design decisions across all stages.
• Define design scope and deliverables with clients and project managers.
• Facilitate design workshops, peer reviews and design assurance activities.
• Support bids and proposals with design strategy and methodology.
• Contribute to growth of Energydesign community within Beca.
