Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Power BI Administrator to establish and manage a new enterprise Power BI environment. The role focuses on platform setup, governance, user adoption, and migration from legacy tools. Ideal candidates will have strong Power BI admin experience and a solid understanding of enterprise data models. This is a 6-month contract position with a daily rate of $750-$780, requiring 3 days in office and 2 days of work from home.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Power BI administration skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise data modelling is required.
• Experience in working with Azure and Snowflake is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Power BI tenant and workspace structure.
• Implement governance policies, security, and access controls.
• Configure Snowflake connections, dataflows, and refresh schedules.
• Manage licensing, authentication, and gateways.
• Support teams with modelling standards and early use cases.
• Assist with moving reporting from legacy tools into Power BI.

Skills

Strong Power BI admin experience (governance, setup, standards)

Understanding of enterprise data modelling and semantic layers

Experience with Azure and Snowflake

Good communicator, comfortable working with the business

Insurance background is helpful but not essential
