Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council in Maroochydore is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data models, analytics solutions and interactive reporting. You’ll empower evidence-based decision‑making across Council by translating complex needs into insights and shaping enterprise reporting.

The role is based at Sunshine Coast City Hall in Maroochydore CBD and involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders to deliver robust BI governance and scalable analytics capability.

Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology or related discipline with experience delivering BI and reporting in a large organisation.
Expertise in Power BI, designing dashboards and visualisations that translate data into insights.
Strong SQL, ETL, data modelling and data warehousing skills to build scalable analytics.

Responsibilities

Lead development and maintenance of enterprise data models and analytics solutions.
Deliver insightful Power BI dashboards and reports to support business outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide governance and continuous improvement recommendations for BI platform.
