Job summary

Alspec is seeking a Powder Coating Operator for our Lonsdale site. The role involves setting up and operating spray equipment, maintaining and cleaning gear, and preparing materials for powder coating to meet high-quality standards.

You will perform visual inspections and thickness testing, lift up to 20 kg, and work in a dynamic, customer-focused team environment. A pre-employment medical may be required.

About the Role...

We are seeking a Powder Coating Operator to join our team at our Lonsdale site.

Some of your key duties and responsibilities will include.

• Set up and operate powder coating spray equipment.
• Ensure powder coating equipment is maintained and cleaned to the required standard.
• Prepare materials to be powder-coated, ensuring proper cleanliness and preparation has been performed before powder-coating application.
• Perform inspections, both visual and using a dry film thickness tester, to ensure correct coating quality and standards are achieved.
• Manual lifting of up to 20kgs

Ideally, you will have had previous experience in a Powdercoating role; however, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are a must, together with the ability to work within a small, dynamic and multi-skilled team.

You must be reliable and self-motivated with the drive to take on additional tasks in a fast-paced environment to achieve excellent quality standards and customer service levels aligned with Alspec's Mission to be " WORLD CLASS IN ALUMINIUM DESIGN, DISTRIBUTION AND SERVICE".
