Job summary

McLean Farms, a proudly Australian family-owned business, is seeking a reliable Poultry Transport Operator to join our team. You will transport eggs, poultry, feed, and related materials across sites, upholding biosecurity and animal welfare standards.

We require a Heavy Combination licence and proven transport or agricultural haulage experience, with a strong safety focus. Join our modern fleet and enjoy opportunities for training and development, with weekend/holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Combination licence (HC) is essential.
• Proven experience in transport, logistics or agricultural haulage.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and temperature monitoring.
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual handling and cleaning tasks.
• Strong focus on safety, biosecurity and compliance.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport eggs, poultry, feed, packaging and manure between sites.
• Perform vehicle pre-start checks, monitor refrigerated trailer temperatures and keep vehicles clean and safe.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring biosecurity and quality requirements.
• Complete delivery and weighbridge documentation accurately.
• Assist with urgent deliveries or collections, including weekends and public holidays.
• Coordinate with Workshop and Site Managers to ensure servicing and repairs are on schedule.
• Maintain professionalism when representing McLean Farms on and off site.
