McLean Farms in Queensland is seeking a reliable Poultry Transport Operator to join our family-owned team. This role focuses on safe, efficient handling of eggs, poultry, feed, and related materials across multiple sites.

As a hands-on transport operator, you will perform vehicle pre-start checks, monitor refrigerated trailer temperatures, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Availability for weekend/holiday deliveries may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid HC licence is essential.
• Proven experience in transport, logistics, or agricultural haulage.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and temperature monitoring.
• Physically fit with capability for manual handling and cleaning.
• Strong focus on safety, biosecurity, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport eggs, poultry, feed, packaging, and manure between sites.
• Conduct vehicle pre-start checks and monitor trailer temperatures.
• Load/unload materials and ensure compliance with biosecurity and quality requirements.
• Complete delivery and weighbridge documentation accurately.
• Assist with urgent deliveries or collections, including weekends/holidays.
• Coordinate with Workshop and Site Managers for servicing/repairs schedules.
• Represent the company professionally on/off site.

This hands-on role is responsible for transporting eggs, poultry, feed, manure, packaging, and other materials across multiple sites ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with biosecurity and animal welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport eggs, poultry, feed, packaging, and manure between sites.
• Conduct vehicle pre-start checks, monitor refrigerated trailer temperatures, and maintain vehicles to a clean, safe standard.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring compliance with biosecurity and quality requirements.
• Complete delivery and weighbridge documentation accurately.
• Assist with urgent deliveries or collections as required, including weekends and public holidays.
• Coordinate with Workshop and Site Managers to ensure vehicle servicing and repair schedules are met.
• Maintain professionalism when representing the company on and off site.

About You

• Valid Heavy Combination (HC) licence (essential).
• Proven experience in transport, logistics, or agricultural haulage.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, temperature monitoring, and load handling.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling and cleaning tasks.
• Strong focus on safety, biosecurity, and compliance.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team.
