Job summary

McLean Farms is seeking a motivated Cleaning Crew Supervisor to lead our Poultry Services team, driving daily cleaning, turnaround and preparation of poultry sheds across multiple sites.

You will supervise Cleaning Crew teams, coordinate shed cleanouts to production schedules, and ensure strict hygiene, biosecurity and animal welfare standards while maintaining a safe, efficient workplace.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within poultry, agriculture, farming or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • Experience operating high-pressure cleaning equipment.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of biosecurity protocols, animal welfare standards and workplace health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced leader who enjoys working outdoors, leading teams, and delivering high standards? McLean Farms is seeking a motivated and hands-on Cleaning Crew Supervisor to join our Poultry Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team responsible for the cleaning, turnaround, and preparation of poultry sheds across our operations. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of hygiene, biosecurity, animal welfare, and operational readiness.

About the Role

As the Cleaning Crew Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of cleaning teams across multiple poultry sites. This role involves occasional weekend work and overtime to support operational requirements

You will lead and support Leading Hands and team members, ensuring cleaning operations are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Along with overseeing shed turnaround activities, you'll also assist with bird management tasks, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to the success of our Poultry Services operation.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within poultry, agriculture, farming or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • Experience operating high-pressure cleaning equipment.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of biosecurity protocols, animal welfare standards and workplace health and safety practices.
  • A willingness to work in a physically demanding environment across multiple poultry sites.
  • A current driver's licence.
