Job summary

University of New South Wales – Sydney is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemistry to advance the development of novel electrocatalysts and ion exchange membranes for electrolyzers and fuel cells. Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Experience in electrocatalysis and/or ion exchange membranes; material synthesis and device assembly; material characterisation.
• Experience coordinating large multidisciplinary teams and publishing in high‑impact journals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute independently or as part of a team to advance research in electrocatalysis.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Prototype electrochemical devices and assess efficiency and durability.
• Support student supervision and lab management, including instrument maintenance.
• Actively apply for external grants and fellowships with supervisor support.
