The University of Queensland invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position based at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences in Brisbane. You will join a multidisciplinary team to investigate exposure sources and measure plastic additive chemicals in human matrices, conducting independent research in environmental and analytical chemistry.

You will lead method development, contribute to grants and supervise students, while building an emerging research profile

Qualifications

• PhD completed or near completion in environmental/analytical chemistry or a related field.
• Strong lab skills and experience with trace organic analysis in complex matrices.
• Experience operating LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS or equivalent instrumentation.
• Evidence of publications and research funding applications.

Responsabilités

• Lead or co‑lead analytical method development and validation for plastics-related compounds.
• Contribute to funding applications and translation of research.
• Supervise students and develop researchers.
• Engage with external partners and communities.
