Qualifications

• PhD in environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental health, toxicology or related field.
• Strong lab capabilities and trace organic analysis in complex matrices.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS or LC-MS QToF/GC-HRMS instrumentation.
• Knowledge of analytical method development, validation and trace-level analysis.
• Emerging research profile in environmental/analytical chemistry.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
• Experience applying for external research funding.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Lead or co-lead analytical method development, validation and application for measuring plastic additive chemicals in human and other complex matrices.
• Contribute to competitive funding applications and collaborative research projects.
• Supervise and develop research staff and Higher Degree by Research students.
• Engage with industry, government and professional bodies; build external links.
