Job summary

University of Queensland seeks a highly skilled Data Scientist to design and optimise clinical and skin imaging data management systems. You will work with researchers to develop scalable analytics and robust data pipelines, enabling high-quality, reproducible research.

The role involves leading data processing, validation and deployment of advanced models using Python/R, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to drive impact in melanoma research.

Qualifications

• PhD in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise clinical and skin imaging data management systems and research infrastructure.
• Lead processing, cleaning, integration and analysis of complex datasets including 2D/3D imaging.
• Collaborate with researchers to enhance data platforms and provide technical guidance.
• Train, mentor and support junior staff in data management and analytical best practices.
