The University of Western Australia (UWA) invites applications for a Lead Postdoctoral Research Associate in RNA therapeutics. Based in Western Australia, you will develop and apply ML and computational methods to RNA design within the ROBUST program, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational or quantitative discipline such as computer science, ML, mathematics, statistics, physics or engineering, computational biology.
• Strong background in modern ML and solid foundations in linear algebra, probability and statistics.
• Strong programming capability in Python and C-like languages with DL frameworks and reproducible software practices.
• Ability to reason from first principles about unfamiliar problems and collaborate on multi-institutional research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply mathematical, ML and statistical methods to RNA and multi-omics data.
• Build and validate models for RNA therapeutics and design pipelines.
• Collaborate with experimental teams and industry partners to run the design-build-test-learn cycle.
