Job summary

The University of Western Australia invites applications for a Lead Developer within the Australian Centre for RNA Therapeutics in Cancer (ACRTC). You will drive platform design for RNA sequence engineering, folding and stability, using proprietary data to close the design-build-test loop.

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 24 months with potential extension, offering a base salary of $116,866 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% super.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational or quantitative field such as CS, ML, mathematics, statistics, physics or engineering.
• Strong ML background with fundamentals in linear algebra, probability and optimisation.
• Strong programming ability in Python and C-like languages; experience with DL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply mathematical, computational and ML methods to RNA and multi-omics data.
• Build, train, fine-tune and validate models for RNA therapeutics and pipelines.
• Collaborate with experimental teams and industry partners to run the design-build-test-learn cycle.
