Job summary

Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is seeking a compassionate Post Separation Practitioner to provide education, intake, assessment and support to individuals and families navigating separation. This full-time role promotes positive parenting and child-focused safety within a strong practice framework.

The position coordinates within Family Law Services, including risk screening, education delivery, and case planning, while collaborating with RAQ staff and external stakeholders to ensure

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Social or Behavioural Sciences.
• Experience with families in high-conflict situations and managing caseloads.
• Experience in child-focused practice framework.
• Knowledge of trauma, conflict and family violence and its impact on children.
• Familiarity with family law, domestic and family violence regulations and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong time management; proficient with MS Office and emails.

Responsibilities

• Lead client intake and assessment, gather information, screen risk factors, conduct safety planning and referrals.
• Develop and implement case management plans centered on child-focused practice.
• Deliver education to groups and individuals affected by separation.
• Support understanding of child development, trauma and family violence impacts on children.
• Maintain confidentiality, duty of care and compliance with legislation and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with RAQ staff and external stakeholders for integrated service delivery.
