Job summary

Aurizon is seeking a Casual Stevedore Coordinator at Port Adelaide to lead the coordination of port-based transport and stevedore activities, ensuring safe, efficient operations. You will plan daily tasks, manage capacity, and collaborate with stakeholders on plans and approvals.

We value hands-on leaders with logistics or stevedoring experience, strong planning and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work irregular hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, stevedoring or transport coordination.
• Proven leadership in high-volume, safety-critical settings.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and compliance frameworks.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily stevedoring and transport tasks.
• Manage capacity and scheduling in line with customer agreements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on operational plans, approvals and infra works.
• Oversee safety, service standards and compliance within the area.
• Support incident response and lead investigations as needed.
• Maintain accurate reporting and system records, including rosters and payroll.
• Oversee labour allocation and workforce deployment to meet operational demands while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
