Job summary

Qube Ports seeks personnel for shift work at Port Kembla to load and discharge general and bulk cargoes, operate machinery, and undertake shipboard and wharf duties. You will handle motor vehicles, machinery, steel products and containers as part of our port operations.

Shifts are irregular with 24/7 availability and no fixed roster. A full manual driver’s licence is essential; high-risk licences (Forklift, Dogging, Crane) are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full Manual driver’s licence.
• High Risk Licences in Forklift, Dogging and Crane (highly regarded).
• Trade Qualification (highly regarded).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
• Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience.
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution.
• Flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and discharge general and bulk cargoes.
• Operate machinery as required.
• Perform shipboard and wharf duties.
• Handle basic clerical tasks.
