Job summary

City Venue Management (CVM) has been appointed to manage pools and leisure facilities across the City of Gold Coast. We’re recruiting full-time and casual Pool Lifeguards across multiple venues to keep patrons safe and create welcoming, active environments.

Shifts span mornings to evenings, including weekends, with opportunities to work across CVM’s 51 venues. If you’re energetic, observant and passionate about outdoor fitness, join our team and enjoy staff benefits and growth paths.

Qualifications

• Must hold Pool Lifeguard Award.
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, active supervision of swimmers.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid/CPR.
• Educate patrons on safe pool behaviour and enforce rules.
• Assist with water quality testing and poolside upkeep.

City Venue Management (CVM) has been newly appointed to manage pools and leisure facilities across the City of Gold Coast. We're recruiting full-time and casual Pool Lifeguards across the following venues:

• Gold Coast Aquatic Centre (Southport)
• Helensvale Aquatic Centre
• Miami Aquatic Centre
• Palm Beach Aquatic Centre
• Pimpama Sports Hub Aquatic Centre

About the Role

Keep patrons safe through continuous, active supervision in line with the Queensland Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation. You'll spot risks early, perform rescues, provide first aid and CPR, educate patrons on safe behaviour and enforce facility rules, while helping with water quality testing and poolside upkeep when it's safe to do so. Shifts run across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, and with CVM's 51 venues and counting you can pick up shifts across multiple sites. Casual work flexes around study or other commitments, or ask us for consistent, regular shifts.

What We're Looking For

• Alert, observant people with strong situational awareness who stay calm under pressure
• Clear communicators who build rapport with patrons while enforcing the rules
• Reliable team players, physically and medically fit to perform rescues (vision and hearing standards apply)
• A genuine passion for the outdoors, fitness, or an active lifestyle — and just as keen to escape the traditional office environment as we are to have you on the team
