Job summary

Macquarie University Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Polysomnographic Technician to join our sleep diagnostics team. You will perform comprehensive sleep studies, including setup, data acquisition, and real-time analysis, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Working largely autonomously under the guidance of a Lead Technologist, you will apply 12+ months of experience to deliver high-quality diagnostic data and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competence in polysomnographic testing and data review.
• Ability to determine testing parameters in collaboration with the ordering physician.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sleep studies including setup and data acquisition.
• Conduct real-time analysis and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Work largely autonomously under supervision of a Lead Technologist or Lab Manager.
• Supervise and mentor Polysomnographic Trainees.
