Job summary

The Department of Government Services (DGS) in Victoria is seeking a Policy Officer to support workplace policy planning, reporting and coordination across leased and owned premises. You will contribute to policy and strategy reform to modernise government services and improve customer-centred delivery.

You will work with senior policy officers and managers across cross‑divisional teams, applying policy analysis, data insight and evaluation to a range of priority areas within the Government

Qualifications

Experience in policy development and research.
Data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work in cross-divisional teams.

Responsibilities

Support workplace policy planning and reporting activities, including work plans, action registers, risk reports, program milestones and governance reporting.
Collect, collate and analyse information and data on workplace portfolio performance, risks and service issues.
Prepare clear and accurate briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence for internal stakeholders.
Maintain records, trackers and reporting systems to support timely and accurate information management.
Liaise with stakeholders across the VPS, service providers and other agencies to coordinate information and follow up actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and ways of working.
