Job summary

CSEA offers a twelve-month graduate program in Canberra for Law graduates to support the Prime Minister, Cabinet, Ministers and Assistant Ministers. You will apply policy design and FOI experience from initial consult to final reviews, with exposure to a broad set of legal areas.

Three rotations, dedicated mentors, relocation assistance, and work‑life balance with flexible working-from-home arrangements await successful candidates, with a route to permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent for a Law Graduate.
• Recent graduates within eight years or in final year.
• Interest in policy design and FOI processes.

Responsibilities

• Support policy design and FOI-related projects across departments.
• Advise on Cabinet exemptions in FOI responses from consult to review.
• Work across diverse areas including environment, privacy, and rights laws.
